Honda CRF 150 R Mini Motocross Bike Gets Upgraded
2025 CRF 150 R upgraded with a host of AS3 Performance parts
Ben Schaeffer over in the United States has used a lot of our parts for various high quality bike builds over the years and his latest mini mx bike project has been built in the same vein. He has given his 2025 Honda CRF 150 R a real factory touch with the numerous parts upgrades that have replaced the OEM parts. We detail the AS3 Performance parts he used in the CRF 150 build below.

Rear Brake Pedal
Starting with the right-side of the bike, Ben replaced the OEM rear brake pedal with our cold forged version which we offer with a red anodised tip. It was bought and fitted as a "combo" with our gear lever (which we will feature below). The black anodised lever looks much nicer than the standard lever and it is also much stronger too, tending to bend upon any impacts rather than snapping. As with the majority of parts for the CRF 150 R, the rear brake pedal and gear lever fit all models from 2007 up to Ben's 2025!
Foot Pegs
Ben chose to run our black anodised Racing Series extra wide foot pegs, which look neat against our black rear brake and gear levers. Compared to the OEM foot pegs, ours offer a bigger surface area, more grip with 34 individual teeth in total and they look way better! Being CNC machined from billet aluminium, we offer them anodised in red also and they fit a number of different Honda models and years.
Rear Brake Clevis
Our black anodised rear brake clevis has been fitted to provide a much bigger visual upgrade than the OEM rear brake clevis. It marries nicely to our forged rear brake pedal. Like the majority of our Honda hard parts, it is also available in red.

Kick Start Lever
Available in silver and black, Ben went for our black version. With a smooth, matt finish, it looks slick against the carbon frame and exhaust protectors. Our kick start levers are forged and produced from aircraft grade aluminium, meaning they are light but very strong! The kick start levers for the CRF 150 fit this model only, including the R and RB versions from 2007 through to 2025.
Oil Filler Plug
Our red anodised oil filler plug that Ben has fitted really stands out at the top of the clutch cover, as can be seen in the photo below. Compared to the plastic OEM oil filler plugs, ours are much more durable and have a precise fit due to them being CNC machined from billet aluminium. They are also way better performance-wise under high heat and pressure conditions.
Engine Plug Kit
Ben has fitted our red anodised engine plug kit, which has significantly improved the look of the right and left side of the engine. The larger of the engine plugs on the right hand side features our AS3 Performance branding and really pops out to the right of the clutch cover (as can be seen in the photo below). In addition to red, we have these available in black, as well as in blue!

Gear Lever
The gear lever fitted comes with the rear brake pedal as a combo, as described above. The red anodised tip is spring-loaded with knurled grooves for extra grip when shifting. It certainly pops out against the OEM ignition cover.
Oil Filter Cover
Ben went with our red anodised oil filter cover, complimenting the gear lever tip as well as the engine plug. Also available in black, they are strong, durable and have a precise fit. Another hard part that provides a big visual upgrade to the CRF 150.

Even on mini motocross bikes, getting a holeshot could be key for a race win. Our holeshot devices compress the front forks, allowing you to accelerate out of the start gate as fast as possible. Once the front brake is pressed at the first corner, the device unclips, returning the front forks to their original position and allowing you to get on with your race as normal.

Front Brake Master Cylinder Cover
Ben has fitted our red anodised front brake reservoir cover, replacing the plastic OEM cover. This is an eye catching addition on the rider controls area and master cylinder covers are very popular with a lot of our motocross, enduro and supermoto riders. They look great, fit precisely and provide better protection than OEM master cylinder covers.
