AS3 Performance Sponsor Alberto Moseriti and Edgardo Borella
AS3 Performance have agreed a sponsorship deal with Italian supermoto team FRT Racing Motosport with their two riders competing in the Italian and AMA Supermoto Championships.
AS3 Performance recently announced sponsorship of 2 high profile Italian supermoto riders Alberto Moseriti and Edgardo Borella. Their 2019 run with FRT Motorsport Racing is poised to be a season to remember, and AS3 Performance is pleased to come on board and help the team and the riders with a range of performance parts to help achieve championship success. Today we’re taking a closer look at these young Italian riders, their unique strengths, and the bikes they’ll be riding as they compete in the 2019 AMA Supermoto National Championship and the 2019 Italian Supermoto Championship.
Alberto Moseriti
The introductory section on his website ends with a thank you to “all the people who allow me to live my dreams at full speed.” Impassioned by racing since youth, Alberto has raced around the world on dirt bikes, sport bikes, and is now achieving his best results racing supermoto.
Alberto Moseriti’s racing career began at age 8, when his father – a former racer – gifted him a 50cc motorbike on which he competed. It wasn’t long before that displacement grew more than tenfold: Alberto’s showing in the 2012 Trophy Ducati Hypermotard 796 Cup brought him widespread notoriety, and his 2018 racing season included spectacular showings at the Italian Supermoto Championship, the AMA Supermoto Championship in the United States, and the FIM Supermoto Championship in Canada, among numerous other successes.
Alberto’s diverse riding experience is sure to make him a formidable competitor in 2019, and AS3 Performance is proud to be one of his main sponsors for the upcoming season.
Edgardo Borella
If one word describes him, that word is determined. Among his many victories, Edgardo Borella won the Italian Supermoto title in the 2017 Italian Supermoto Championship, where his consistency earned him the overall first-place victory against some tough competition. He made waves at the 2018 FIM Supermoto of Nations; after crashing early in Race 1 he fought hard in Races 2 and 3 to help secure a second-place overall finish for Team Italy. An accident during the 2018 Supermoto European Championship in Poland left Edgardo with an injured knee, but that didn’t stop him from winning the overall title and becoming the European Supermoto Champion for 2018.
Edgardo is eager to bring that momentum into the 2019 season, and AS3 Performance are pleased to help by supplying parts for both his race bike and his motocross training bike.
The 2019 FRT Racing Motorsport Race Bikes
After securing various sponsorship deals, not just from AS3 Performance but from the likes of Italian company PZ5 Cobra who supply various high performance braking parts and Arrow Exhausts who have supplied full exhaust systems for both race bikes, FRT Racing Motorsport has chosen the ever popular 2019 Husqvarna FS 450 as their race bikes for 2019.
Revamped for the new year, the 2019 Husqvarna FS 450 touts a multitude of improvements over the outgoing version, with a redesigned cylinder head and an improved exhaust system which help to shed 4 pounds over the previous version. With its 4-valve SOHC engine, Alpina wheels, Suter slipper clutch, AER air fork, and WP DCC rear shock, the 2019 Husqvarna FS 450 is a wildly capable machine in any hands.
