AS3 Performance Weekly Round Up #36
Beta Motorcycles Australia Enduro Team's 2024 Season Begins
Australian Off-Road Championship (AORC) Round 1 & 2, Roma, Queensland, Australia
AS3 Performance are supporting the Beta Australia Enduro Race Team for the 2nd season and since last season, the Team has expanded with more riders in more classes. For the AORC in Roma, the weekend's weather was hot and dry, making track conditions very dusty. The racing format on both days were sprints, which on technical tracks, tested riders and bikes to the max. The course consisted of grassy tracks, rocky gullies, sloping river beds and deep, dusty ruts.
Andy Wilksch - Beta 350 RR Racing
After recent knee surgery, Wilksch used these rounds to build back confidence racing and find his rhythm on his new bike. He placed P4 in the E2 Class over both rounds, showing he could be in for a strong season ahead. Congrats to Andy.

Fraser Higlett - Beta 480 RR Racing
Higlett was racing on a new capacity after competing in 2023 on a 390 RR. His confidence grew as the weekend went on, as he placed P3 on both days in the E3 Class on his 480 RR. The 2023 QORC Champion laid down a strong benchmark for the season ahead and will hopefully get higher up the podium in the next rounds. Well done to Fraser!

Jye Dickson - Beta 480 RR Racing
Competing in the same E3 Class as Fraser Higlett, Dickson unfortunately suffered a hand injury in training prior to the season starting. He managed to place P5 on both race days though, showing a lot of grit and determination to ride with a fractured hand. Congrats to Jye and we look forward to seeing how he goes when fully fit.

Ebony Nielsen - Beta 300 RR Racing
Ebony was competing in the EW Class on her 2024 Beta 300 RR. Although more of a Hard Enduro specialist, she had a solid weekend's racing, taking P4 on the Saturday and battling it out with 2 other women on the Sunday to take a podium with a P3. Well done to Ebony and we look forward to seeing her on the top step of the podium soon.

Ben Kearns - Beta 390 RR Racing
Kearns struggled to feel comfortable all weekend but started to adapt well, learning more on each lap. He knows what he "has to improve in his riding and will get it figured out". Well done to Ben and we look forward to see his progression through the 2024 season.

Other Supported Rider Updates
Our Supported Junior MX rider Arthur King, was competing in the Severn Valley Championship in the 85cc Class at the weekend. With 3 holeshots and taking the overall Win on his KTM 85 SX, Arthur had a "mega day". The track was "deep but had plenty of line choice". Congrats to Arthur! Click here for a video of Arthur in action.
Our Supported Junior Enduro rider Jay Codling, was at Spaunton for the Edge Off-Road Mini Last One Standing event, racing in the Youth A Class on his Beta 125 RR. Track conditions were wet and slick, which got worse as the day went on. Jay took P4 after some problems on lap one and a few mistakes costing him. Well done to Jay. Exhaust Springs Now Available From AS3 Performance
Here at AS3 Performance our aim is to be a one-stop-shop for all your off-road parts, accessories and hardware for motocross, enduro, trail and more. This week our new featured product isn't as exiting as a perfectly CNC machined ignition cover, or beautifully formed set of silicone hoses but instead, an essential workshop part that all riders and mechanics will have to replace over time.
We now offer 2 different styles of exhaust springs for both 2 stroke and 4 stroke exhausts. One is a standard exhaust spring with a hook end at both ends. These are manufactured from steel with a zinc plated finish and are direct replacements for the OEM exhaust springs. The standard AS3 Performance exhaust springs are priced at £6.99 for a set of 2 springs.
If you're looking for an upgrade from the standard OEM exhaust springs our swivel exhaust springs are just what you need. They are manufactured from stainless steel so will not rust or corrode and feature a swivel end at one end which allows for better fitment. Our swivel exhaust springs come in 4 sizes ranging from 57-90mm and are priced at £8.99 a pair.
Throughout this year we will be looking at expanding our product range to cover more consumable products that are required to be replaced as part of your general motorcycle maintenance. These will include bearings, seals, gaskets, bolts and more. If there are any products that you would like to see from AS3 Performance in the future, please don't hesitate to get in touch as we love to have these conversations with customers and we value any feedback we receive.
Beta RR 4T Clutch Covers Are On The Way
You might have noticed on the cover photo of this week's AS3 Weekly Round Up, Andy Wilksch's Beta 350 RR has a brand new AS3 Performance clutch cover installed, and if you search our website you will also notice that these clutch covers are currently no where to be found! This is because we have recently been working with Beta Australia on developing one of our billet aluminium clutch covers for the Beta 350-480 RR 4 stroke models. The new clutch cover was test fit and signed off earlier this week by the Beta Australia Race Team mechanics and they are currently being put into production. Click here to see a video of it being test fitted. We are hoping to have the new Beta RR 4T clutch covers available in May 2024.
