The Beta Motorcycles Australia Race Team
AS3 Performance parts used by the 5 rider enduro team
Introduction to Beta Motorcycles Australia
Beta Motorcycles Australia are the Australian importer and distributor for Beta enduro, trail and more recently motocross bikes throughout the whole of the country. They are located in Queensland and their 37 dealers are mainly spread across the east coast, with a couple in Western Australia. For the last 2 years we have been working with Beta Motorcycles Australia, supplying them with AS3 Performance products to distribute to their trade dealers. This season, we also started sponsoring their newly formed race team. We have supplied the team with parts for their Beta RR bikes (both 2 stroke and 4 stroke) that compete in the Australian Off Road Championship (AORC), which are like EnduroGP style races. Below we go into detail about the team riders, the bikes they compete on and the AS3 Performance Parts that they use.
Ruben Chadwick - Beta 300 RR Racing
Chadwick is from Queensland and competes in the Australian Hard Enduro Championship (AHEC) Gold Class on a Beta 300 RR Racing. In 2023, he won the Wildrock Extreme Enduro Gold Class, as well the AHEC Gold Class and was second in the Australian SuperEnduro Championship (ASEC) Pro Combined Class. This year, he has just clinched second overall in the 2024 AHEC and he placed 20th overall at the famous Red Bull ErzbergRodeo in Austria! For our feature on ErzbergRodeo click here.
AS3 Performance parts used by Ruben Chadwick
On Chadwick's Beta 300 RR Racing Enduro bike, Beta Motorcycles Australia run our Factory Series foot pegs, power valve cover, rotating bar clamps, rear brake disc guard, Factory Series clutch cover and Factory Series ignition cover. AS3 Performance ignition covers are CNC machined from strong, high quality 6061-T6 aluminium, making them a much stronger and a more durable alternative to the OEM ignition covers - this is extremely important for Hard Enduro, as well as for any Enduro race format in fact! They are hard anodised to resist wear from boots and dirt rubbing against the outer face of the cover.
Ebony Nielsen - Beta 300 RR Racing
Nielsen is from Queensland and competes on her Beta 300 RR Racing in the AHEC in the mixed Silver Class, as well as in the AORC and Queensland Off Road Championship (QORC) in the Enduro Womens (EW) Class. In 2023, she won the QORC and was 1st female in the AHEC. She came 4th in the AORC. Like Ruben Chadwick, she has just wrapped up her 2024 AHEC, finishing 1st woman and 19th overall in the mixed Silver Class!

Like Chadwick, Beta Motorcycles Australia also run the same parts on Nielsen's Beta 300 RR Racing bike. Focussing on the Power Valve Cover, a lot of top Enduro riders use these, as they provide better protection than the OEM covers and are essential for the protection to the internal power valve parts. We offer a choice of red or black for all Beta bikes.
Andy Wilksch - Beta 350 RR Racing
Wilksch is from Victoria and competes in the E2 Class of the AORC and Pro Class of the Victoria Off Road Championship (VORC) on his Beta 350 RR Racing. In 2023, he came 5th in the AORC and currently sits 4th in the 2024 AORC with 4 rounds to go!

On Wilksch's Beta 350 RR Racing, Beta Motorcycles Australia run our rotating bars clamps, rear brake disc guard and billet aluminium Factory Series clutch cover. Like our Factory Series ignition covers, our clutch covers are a much stronger and a more durable alternative to the OEM clutch covers. They are hard anodised to resist wear to the face of the cover and feature our laser etched AS3 Performance Factory Series branding. You can read in more detail about the features and benefits of installing an AS3 Performance clutch cover here.

Higlett is from Queensland and competes in the E3 Class of the AORC and Pro Class of the QORC on his Beta 480 RR Racing. In 2022, he came 2nd in the AORC in the E2 Class and has subsequently changed bikes and classes. In 2023 he won the QORC Pro Class and currently sits 5th in the 2024 AORC E3 Class after having missed 2 rounds earlier in the season!

Beta Motorcycles Australia run our rotating bar clamps, rear brake disc guard and Factory Series foot pegs on Higlett's Beta 480 RR Racing bike. Focussing on the Factory Series foot pegs - they are very popular choice for a lot of our Enduro riders, as they are grippier, wider and lighter than the OEM foot pegs. They feature 50 sharp teeth, providing that essential grip in muddy and slippery enduro conditions and the Y shape increases the overall strength of the foot peg. We offer a choice of red or black for all Beta models.
Jye Dickson - Beta 480 RR Racing

Dickson is from New South Wales and also competes in the E3 Class of the AORC on his Beta 480 RR Racing. In 2023, he came 3rd in the AORC in the E2 Class and 4th place overall. Like Higlett, Dickson has subsequently changed bikes and classes for 2024 and currently sits 1st place in the AORC E3 Class! With four rounds to go, Dickson is looking good for a top result.

Beta Motorcycles Australia run the same parts on Dickson's Beta 480 RR Racing Enduro bike as on Higlett's. Focussing on the rear brake disc guard - they are CNC machined from 6061 billet aluminium, providing maximum protection to the rear disc brake, whilst keeping weight to a minimum. They are an essential protection part to help prevent damage to the rear brake disc, which, if damaged, could lead to the end of a race, especially in long Enduro events! They provide a big upgrade to the OEM plastic rear brake disc guard.

Beta Australian Enduro FAQ's
Below we answer some general questions about Australian Enduro.
When did the Australian Off-Road (AORC) Championship begin?
The first year of the AORC was in 2007, having previously been called the National Off-Road Series in 2005 and 2006. Before that, there were only State Championships in Australia, with a National Championship only happening once a year at the Australian Four Day Enduro (A4DE). Nowadays there are 12 rounds consisting of 6 double-header weekends and it is all run by Motorcycling Australia (MA). The AORC is Australia's official enduro championship.
What are the AORC race formats?
There are 3 formats of racing that make up the AORC.
1. Sprint - this is an off-road, natural terrain event consisting of a number of short course heats, similar to the EunduroGP's special tests. The rider with the least elapsed time over the heats is the winner. Rider's usually start 15-30 seconds apart.
2. Cross Country - this is an off-road, natural terrain, multi-lap event with each lap being longer than 10km. The rider who completes the most laps over a certain time is declared the winner. Seniors race for a maximum of 3 hours with juniors racing for a maximum of 2 hours. Riders start on rows, each row starting a minimum of 1 minute apart.
3. Enduro - this is an extended cross country event intermixed with special tests. The rider with the least total elapsed time will be declared the winner.
What are the AORC race classes?
E1, E2 and E3 are the premier senior classes of the AORC. This are split by differnet motorcycle capacities - E1 Class: 100cc-200cc 2-stroke & 150cc-250cc 4-stroke. E2 Class: 220cc-250cc 2-stroke & 275cc-450cc 4-stroke. E3 Class: 290cc-500cc 2-stroke & 475cc-650cc 4-stroke. Each of the classes always race on the same track with their times split by their classes. The EJ class is for Under 18 years of age who are seniors, but have usually just made the jump up from juniors where they want to compare their times against the best in the E1, E2 and E3 classes. Motorcycles may be of any capacity in the EJ Class. Veterans Class is for 35+ year olds on any capacity motorcycle. Masters Class is for 45+ year olds on any capacity motorcycle and EW - Women is the Women's Class for all women over 16 years of age on any capacity of motorcycle.
Which rider has won the AORC the most times?
Toby Price has won his respective class and the outright AORC Championship 5 times. He's probably the most famous winner and has since ridden for Red Bull KTM Factory Racing Rally Raid Team, winning the Dakar Rally twice and winning 1 Rally Raid World Championship on a KTM 450 Rally bike!
