AS3 Performance Weekly Round Up #38
AS3 Performance Bike Of The Week
1996 Honda CR 500
This week, we start by featuring a nice restoration of a 1996 Honda CR 500 by Andy Wells, owner of Wells Moto Worx, over in Alberta, Canada. Andy completely stripped down and cleaned up the original bike and replaced the OEM parts where necessary, with upgrades. He used a few of our products as part of the upgrades, including our black Silicone Radiator Hoses, red Front & Rear Venhill Brake Lines, Sintered Front & Rear Brake Pads, as well as fitting a new Oversized Water Pump Cooler Kit. The outcome is great!
Wells Moto Worx is a small, family owned and run powersports (Motorbikes, ATV's and Snowmobiles) business, specialising in Maintenance, Repairs and Restoration. They have done an incredible job restoring the CR 500 to its former glory, especially as it came in looking like this, below:
Andy replaced the OEM radiator hoses and Clips with our high quality Silicone Radiator Hoses, which featuring a polyester reinforcement. Our hoses are stronger, more durable and less susceptible to puncturing / damage, compared to the OEM rubber hoses. For the CR 500 and majority of Honda models, we offer 3 colours - red, blue and black.
A nice shot showing the OEM hoses & clips (top photos) replaced with our Silicone Radiator Hoses & Clips (bottom photos).
The brake lines on CR 500 have been upgraded from the rubber OEM brake hoses to our AS3 Performance by Venhill stainless steel braided brake lines. As can be seen from the photos below, Andy chose red for the brake line upgrades and they provide a nice stand-out visual upgrade complimenting the red plastics and seat cover.
If you are restoring or building a motorbike or ATV, upgrading it for the races, or even just installing a new set of brake discs, feel free to tag or mention us in your socials. This will give you a chance to be featured on our social media channels or in a future Weekly Round Up.
